5 Tips to Lose Body Fat

1. Stop eating ultra processed foods. Not only are these low in nutrient density but they usually encourage you to eat more of them. I know it sounds boring but stick to fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds, whole grains and solid sources of protein and fat. 

 

2. Walk after you eat. Even a 10-15 minute walk will improve your blood sugar stabilization, which if you know about Metabolic Efficiency Training, will improve your body’s ability to burn more fat.

 

3. Eat more protein. If you have known me for even a few months, you know how much I stress this wonderful macronutrient. Most of us do not eat enough protein and that’s a mistake. 4. Get your hormones tested! I’ve seen so many athletes with problems losing body fat only to find out that some of their hormones are imbalanced. This is a super easy fix! Once you know what is happening inside your body, you can hire someone to help you make improvements. Remember what I always say, “test, don’t guess.”

5. Stop eating after dinner. This is probably the EASIEST THING YOU CAN DO. As long as your nutrition was sufficient earlier in the day, you don’t need anything after dinner. This is literally the first thing I tell people to do who want to lose body fat.

 

And, here is a BONUS TIP for you...

 

Get at least 12,000 steps per day, not including your exercise training. When I added an extra 30-45 minute leisure walk into my daily routine last year, I noticed a significant, positive change in my body composition. On top of exercise training, taking more steps per day can help you achieve your body composition goals.

 

Losing body fat doesn’t have to be complicated. You just need consistency.
